As a result of impressive sustained growth, a results driven Business Development Manager with a positive approach  is required to identify and convert commercial opportunities for London’s leading specialist logistics, same day and international courier company.

The ideal candidate will use their previous successful business development experience, possibly gained from working within the property / lettings / logistics / storage industries, to develop new opportunities and channel partnerships. The successful Business Development Manager will create bespoke ‘end to end’ storage and courier solutions tailored to the needs of the customer. As such the ability to identify and develop new commercial opportunities with both existing customers and prospects is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and motivate clients and prospects through sales excellence and positive energy
  • Own and take responsibility for achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Create relationships with customers and prospects, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Follow and evolve the sales processes, working closely with colleagues to ensure the pipeline remains healthy with qualified opportunities that fit the company commercial focus
  • Work with the management team to ensure a joined up and successful engagement model that drives long term client and company success

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven ‘hunter’ experience in a Business Development role ideally within the Logistics / Courier or Commercial Storage industry, or related sector
  • Proven ability to develop rapport and solution sell
  • Results orientated, able to adapt to changing circumstances
  • A self-starter with ability to generate prospect opportunities
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong communicator
  • A positive and energetic phone manner, excellent listening skills
  • Excellent writing skills (provide quotes & respond to tender documents etc)
  • A real can-do attitude
  • Hardworking and able to collaborate with others to succeed

We’re looking for a multitalented individual – who as you can see below does a bit of everything keeping the company ticking: office management / EA work / social media.

 

Executive Assistant / Office Manager Responsibilities:

EA duties for CEO. This will be your main duty and will take priority most of the time.

· Manage and maintain CEO calendar.

· Assist CEO with emails

· Screen and prioritise email, mail and phone calls for CEO. Respond to certain types of emails on behalf of CEO as the need arises, with a view to answering many of the routine emails independently once familiarity with operations and values is achieved.

· Some personal tasks on behalf of CEO as the need arises.

· Assist in event management

· Management of various projects across the group of companies

 

Office Administration duties:

· Assist managers in performing tasks as and when the need arises.

· Coherence officer- Proof reading on behalf of office/team members when necessary.

· Safeguarding confidential information and general sensitivity to confidential matters. Keeping abreast of potential threats such as viruses and keeping abreast of developments that could affect the security of the business. Managing company passwords and sensitive information including banking.

· Arrange team meetings, prepare agenda and take minutes of meetings.

· Maintain and manage the CRM system

· Prepare induction packs for new starters and assist in filing as and when required

· Purchasing supplies, maintaining leased equipment, and managing office stock, kitchen stock, company uniforms, polo shirts, bibs, courier bags etc

· Ensure office equipment’s such as fire extinguishers, first aid boxes and other legal requirements are maintained and up to date.

· Assist in the coordination of the company’s CSR program

 

Communication Duties

· Update CMS as directed

· Edit copy to ensure proper grammar, spelling, syntax and style.

· Ensure branding, theme, language and style coherently flow through Mango DNA, this includes all aspects emails, websites, letters, newsletters, blogs, adverts, internal docs and manuals etc. Overseeing and coordination of these aspects across the team.

· Updating company info: cataloging and distributing company information, logos, company info such as tax registration numbers, employee handbooks, CSR journal, passwords, holiday and sickness sheets.

· Social Media coordinator- create and post on the company’s social media as well as Roxy’s social media.

 

Executive Assistant / Office Manager Requirements:

· Previous Personal Assistant (PA) experience.

· Confident engaging on social media and a good understanding of what engages a diverse audience.

· Excellent diary management skills.

· Attention to detail, proactive with good organisational and time management skills.

· Co-ordinating and organising meetings including taking minutes.

· Office Management and administrative experience.

· Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

· Experience in working to tight deadlines and under pressure, juggling numerous and different priorities.

· Ability to use Word to create and edit documents.

If you’d like to fill one of our cargo bike rider vacancies, you’ll be riding one of Mango’s very own cargo bikes. If you would like to join as a push bike rider, you must have your own bike.

Mango is at the forefront of helping clean up London’s air and as a cargo bike or pushbike rider, you’ll be helping us do just that!
